Listen to radio in Windows Media Center

Which edition of Windows Vista am I using?

An optional FM tuner is required to play FM radio stations in Windows Media Center.

You can use Windows Media Center to listen to FM and Internet radio stations available in your area, and you can create presets for your favorite radio stations.

To find and listen to an FM radio station

1.	On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, and then click FM Radio.
2.	To let Windows Media Center find a radio station, under Seek or Tune, click - or + to find available stations. If you know the frequency of the station, enter the numbers using the numeric keypad on the remote control or on the keyboard.
3.	Use the on-screen transport controls in the bottom right of the screen to control playback, including changing channels, adjusting volume, and pausing or stopping playback .

To edit an existing preset

1.	On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, click presets, and then click the preset you want to edit.
2.	To edit the frequency of the preset, under Tune, click the - or + button and then click Save as Preset.
3.	To edit the name of the preset, click Edit Preset. On the Edit Preset screen, enter your changes, and then click Save.

To create FM radio station presets

1.	On the start screen, scroll to Music, click radio, and then click FM Radio.
2.	Under Seek or Tune, click - or + to find a radio station you want.
3.	Once you find a station you like, click Save as Preset.
4.	Enter the name of the station, and then click Save.

To play a preset radio station

1.	On the start screen, scroll to Music, and then click radio.
2.	In the Radio gallery, click Presets, and then select a preset radio station. You can also access the preset station you last selected.

To find and listen to Internet radio stations

Some Internet radio partner programs are only available through subscription. The availability of this service and selection of partners that appears in More Music + Radio will vary by country/region.
1.	On the start screen, scroll to Online Media, and then click program library.
2.	Click Music & Radio, and then click More Music + Radio to see a list of Internet radio partners that are available.
3.	Click the online radio station.
