Under Compose Font, you can choose the fonts that you use for creating new e‑mail and newsgroup messages. Click Font Settings next to Mail or News to change the default font for that message type. For more information on using fonts and formatting in messages, see Format text in an e‑mail or newsgroup message.
NoteCustom fonts are only used when you compose messages in HTML format, and are ignored when you use plain text. In most newsgroups, it's considered poor etiquette to post HTML-formatted messages; plain text is typically the preferred format for newsgroup messages.
Under Stationery, you'll find options for selecting the default stationery used for e‑mail and newsgroup messages. For more information on creating and using stationery, see Choose stationery for Windows Mail messages.
Under Business Cards, you can select a default contact card to include as an attachment with messages that you compose. For information on how to create a business card, see Managing your contacts.
Including a contact card with a newsgroup message will make that information available to anyone who reads that newsgroup. Just as you probably wouldn't post your address and phone number in a public place, you should use caution when attaching contact cards to newsgroup messages.
