After you import pictures to your computer, it's likely that you no longer need to keep copies of them in your camera or flash memory card. Using your computer to delete the pictures from your camera or flash memory card is usually easier and more convenient than using the camera's controls.
You can erase pictures from your camera in any one of the following ways:
In the dialog box that appears, click Import pictures and videos using Windows, and then click OK.

In the Importing Pictures and Videos dialog box, select the Erase after importing check box to erase the pictures after they are copied to your computer.

Follow the instructions to finish importing.
NoteUsing this method, you need to select the Erase after importing check box in the Importing Pictures and Videos dialog box each time you import pictures if you want them to be deleted from your camera when you import them.
Open Computer by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Computer.

In the list of drives and devices that are connected to your computer, double-click your digital camera or flash memory card.

Press CTRL+A to select all the files and folders on your camera or flash memory card.

Press DELETE. If you see a window asking if you are sure you want to delete these files, click Yes.
When importing and erasing pictures, you can conserve your digital camera's battery life by plugging the camera into an electrical outlet, or, if your computer has a memory card reader, by inserting the camera's flash memory card into your computer.
