 | Change how Windows Mail handles sent messages and e‑mail addresses |
| Under Sending, you'll find options for determining how Windows Mail handles messages that you create. | • | If you want to send a message immediately when you click Send from within the message instead of waiting to click Send/Receive in the main window of Windows Mail, select the Send messages immediately check box. | | • | To automatically create a new entry in Windows Contacts for every person you reply to, select the Automatically put people I reply to in my Contacts list check box. Selecting this option is a way to quickly build a contact list of names and e‑mail addresses. | | • | To have Windows Mail automatically complete partially typed names using the e‑mail addresses stored in Windows Contacts, select the Automatically complete e‑mail addresses when composing check box. | | • | If you are replying to a message and you want the original message to be included in your reply, select the Include message in reply check box. |
|
 | Choose how messages you send are formatted |
| Select the Reply to messages using the format in which they were sent check box to automatically choose plain text or Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) format when replying to a message, depending on the format of the original message. Under Mail Sending Format and News Sending Format, you can choose whether to send plain text or HTML messages by default, and adjust settings for those messages. For details, see Format text in an e‑mail or newsgroup message. |
