Read newsgroup messages

Which edition of Windows Vista am I using?

The simplest way to view a newsgroup message in Windows Mail is to read it in the Preview pane, where you can view the message's contents without opening the message in a separate window. Or, if you want to see a larger portion of the message without scrolling, you can open it in a separate window instead.

Before you can read a newsgroup, you must subscribe to it. For more information, see Subscribe to a newsgroup.

Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.

Click the newsgroup (such as microsoft.public.games) that contains the messages you want to read.

Do one of the following:

•	To view the message in the Preview pane, click the message in the message list.
•	To view the message in a separate window, double-click the message in the message list.

When viewing messages in a separate window, you can click the Previous and Next buttons to move to the previous or next message.
