Working with the Computer folderThe Computer folder is the place you can go to access locations such as hard disk drives, CD or DVD drives, removable media, and network locations that are connected to your computer. The primary storage device located inside a computer. Also called a hard drive or hard disk drive, it is where your files and programs are typically stored.
Device
Any piece of equipment that can be attached to a network or computer, for example, printers, keyboards, external disk drives, or other peripheral equipment. These devices require special software (device drivers) to work with Windows.

Any disk drive, folder, or other place in which you can store files and folders. Programs will commonly ask you to choose a location to save a file.
