Digital cameras record the date and time pictures are taken. When you transfer the pictures from your camera to your computer, the date and time are then saved on your computer as a part of the information that is stored with each picture. Unfortunately, this information is not always accurate. If you took some of your pictures in a different time zone, for example, the time recorded for those pictures could be incorrect by several hours. The camera might also be set to the wrong date and time. Or, if you scan pictures, the date will reflect the date they were scanned, not the date that they were taken. All of these discrepancies can be adjusted.
Open Windows Photo Gallery by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Photo Gallery.

Right-click the picture that you want to change, and then click Change Time Taken.
To select several pictures, hold down CTRL, click each picture that you want to change, and then right-click one picture when you are done.

In the Change by box, type the number of hours to change, or click the up or down arrow to select the number of hours. To make the new time earlier, type a minus sign (-) before the number.
