What's new for using your mobile PC in meetings?

However, it's important to make sure that your mobile PC is configured properly before you arrive at a meeting so that you don't spend valuable time trying to set the correct settings.
Before your meeting
Windows Mobility Center is the quickest way to adjust settings before you give a presentation or attend a meeting. You can adjust the volume on your mobile PC, check your network connectivity, adjust the brightness of your display, and more.
By adjusting the presentation settings, you can automatically turn off the screen saver, prevent system notifications from appearing, change your desktop background image, and adjust the volume level on your mobile PC when you start your presentation. Project your work
With Windows, you can easily use a network projector to give a presentation from a mobile PC. A network projector is a shared resource that you can access from your mobile PC, similar to finding a printer on a network. By using the Connect to a Network Projector wizard, you can connect to any available network projector over a wireless or a wired network. Work together
When you use your mobile PC in a collaborative environment away from your office, you might want to share files or other data with colleagues. With Windows Meeting Space, you can collaborate with up to 10 people on the Internet, a local network, or an ad hoc network. If a network does not exist, Windows Meeting Space can set one up for you. You can share your desktop or any program with other participants, distribute and collaborate on documents on each other's computers, and send messages to each other. Conserve battery power
If you've given a presentation or taken notes on your mobile PC when it was using the battery, you've probably worried about running out of power before completing the task. Even with recent advancements in battery cell technology and software that make more efficient use of power, a single charge lasts only several hours on most mobile PCs. In Windows Vista, you can use a power plan called Power saver, which reduces your power consumption by lowering system performance. A temporary network used for sharing files or an Internet connection. In an ad hoc network, computers and devices are connected directly to each other instead of to a hub or router. Also called a computer-to-computer network.
