You just got back from holiday and you've got loads of photos to download to your computer. Windows Live Photo Gallery makes this really easy and allows you to add tags and to group your photos so they are easier to sort and find later.

To import photos

1.

Connect your camera to the computer and turn the camera on.

2.

On the File menu, click Import from a camera or scanner.

3.

In the Scanners and Cameras list, select your camera or device.

4.

Select how you would like to organize your photos. If you want to review the photos and videos on your camera, click Review, organize, and group items to import. Grouping your photos and videos according to the time they were taken will make them easier to find later, and you can adjust the size of the groups Photo Gallery creates.

If you are in a hurry or want to organize your photos and videos later, click Import all new items now.
