You can resize the taskbar to create additional space for buttons and toolbars.

Right-click an empty area on the taskbar. If Lock the Taskbar has a check mark next to it, the taskbar is locked. Unlock it by clicking Lock the Taskbar, which removes the check mark.

Point to the edge of the taskbar until the pointer changes into a double-headed arrow , and then drag the border to make the taskbar the size you want.
To move a pointer (for example, an arrow) to a particular position on the screen, by using a pointing device such as a mouse or pen.

For example, in WordPad, the toolbar contains buttons you can click to apply bold formatting to text, print a file, or open a new document. The toolbar buttons provide shortcuts to common tasks frequently accessed from the menus.
